Safety in Numbers

There are a number of forms I have to submit to Kelley before the school year begins in the fall. One is regarding our schedule. Kelley offers 3 cohorts for first years- 2 in the morning and one in the afternoon, meaning I can either have the entire afternoon or morning off, 5 days a week, save my GA of course.

So, I have met a couple other JD/MBAs who will be at the b-school this fall with me and we have developed a plan... *palms together, drum fingertips* In order to stick together and be as annoying to the accounting MBAs as they are to the JDs (They hijack our classes, asking questions that are irrelevant to the study of law, wasting our class time and impressing our professors with their "risk taking." Whatever. Go home, I say, or do the JD/MBA thing, but don't take our classes and our resources without earning the respect of surviving 1L Hell.), we would like to end up in the same cohort. Kelley allows students to request a specific cohort for a "compelling" reason. Well, you've heard my compelling reason, but really the three of us just wanna hang out and brag about how much more difficult law school is than b-school.

Anyhow, we've heard that "compelling" is pretty subjective, and they'll pretty much take any reason. So, one of the JD/MBAs is a BarBri rep, and he has to work some afternoons. He is going to request the morning cohort. The other JD/MBA and I are simply going to request to be with the first JD/MBA and keep our fingers crossed. I'm taking suggestions on how to trick the b-school admin.

One of the other forms is that pesky list of activities that will accompany my photo in the composite for the profs... So, check out this entry and let me know if you have any suggestions, though I think it's pretty comprehensive.

Anyhow, sorry I'm not very entertaining right now. I'm in a post-finals slump.
